status of up2date and rhn-applet

Yum is already a backend for up2date, providing support (albeit slightly 
broken, at least in FC4) for repomd metadata. It's a shame rhn-applet is 
completely borked as far as repomd support (the default out-of-the-box 
configuration) is concerned.
