I couldn't get php compiled with libxml2-devel including its respective .la lib. I'm not sure how it leaked in .. maybe I had an old version of the libtools? But, as stated here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=154142#c2 Would an effort to remove /usr/lib/*.la and see what builds okay, be something important to do for FC5?
