@core is actually pretty small. It'll get you to a login prompt and not
much else and so probably is pretty easily less than 300 megs.
@base is more of a "provide the tools most people actually expect to be
present on a linux system", and thus, yeah, starts getting a little
bigger. It's still not huge, though
