Thanks for your interest, but no go

While I've always disabled SELinux, I did run setenforce 0 an
then mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.6.19-1.2877.fc7.img 2.6.19-1.2877.fc7
   (again) ;)

I did this after bootin to rawhide (2849) an the result was,

 boot # du -k *initrd-2.6.19*
2877 initrd-2.6.19-1.2877.fc7.img
2877 sav2-initrd-2.6.19-1.2877.fc7.img
2872 sav-initrd-2.6.19-1.2877.fc7.img

sav- is the original from a rawhide yum update, sav2- is my
earlier attempt, an the results of re-doin it after setenforce 0
produced no change. It still panics on mount. I did make an error
in my earlier post tho, which I suspect you picked up. / is not
hd0,0 .. that is my /boot ... shared by FC6-test an FC7-rawhide
(as is /swap, hda5)

   df for rawhide is,
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdb1 9.9G 4.4G 5.1G 47% /

/dev/sda1 151G 119G 25G 84% /stor4

   df for fc6-test is,
