mirrorlist cgi

Hi Seth, Maybe I'm missing something, or the tool isn't fully up-to-date
yet, but when I request a mirror list for rawhidex86_64

http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=rawhide&arch=x86_64

I get this as the result:

# repo = rawhide country = NL arch = x86_64
http://ftp.surfnet.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/updates/testing/5/$ARCH/
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/updates/testing/5/$ARCH/
http://ftp.surfnet.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/5/$ARCH/os/
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/5/$ARCH/os/
http://ftp.surfnet.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/5/$ARCH/os/
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/5/$ARCH/os/

That looks suspiciously like the result set for fc5, and fc5 updates (2
repo's in one response?). However it doesn't look anywhere near like
../fedora/core/development/.. repo's :-)

Subject: mirrorlist cgi

Hi,
 Over the last couple of weeks we've put together a mirror checking tool
and a cgi that will verify the currency of the mirrorlist. Then it will
generate lists per-country based on geoip country codes as well as a
global mirror list.

The code for this tool is available here:

http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/check-mirrors/?root=fedora

We've also setup a url for the cgi for use from the yum repository
definitions.

I'd like to see this added to the fedora-release package (where
the .repo files are stored) for FC6 Test 2, if possible.

[development]
name=Fedora Core - Development
mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=rawhide&arch=$ba
search

and for extras:

[extras-development]
name=Fedora Extras - Development Tree
mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=extras-devel&arc
h=$basearch

Thanks,
-sv
