gdm and gnome-applets broken?

Server issued that resides in the .conf file.  The email already sent by
someone explains what to do if you want the workaround fix before the
fixed rpm.

OTOH, gdmsetup starts but freezes right after and has done this for a
while now.

Have ran into this as well, and this is on a x86 box.
