This is a can of worms.  I did some investigation into trying to improve
this a few months back.  It'll need a ton of work, and a lot of
board-specific tweaks.

Do we actually do any development on wine ? I don't think we have
any engineers that hack on it, even as a spare time project.
(We also don't ship it in any products afaik).
