This reminds me: Are there any plans to use s2ram in Fedora? It manages
a whitelist with Laptops that are known to suspend fine. It also has a
list of Laptops that need certain workarounds like repost-video with the
integrated vbetool after wake-up, switch backlight back on with
radeontool or modify /proc/sys/kernel/acpi_video_flags . Suse 10.1 uses
it and it looks nice, but might needs some improvements (the list for
example doesn't contain details if framebuffer should be better on or
off).
