Video is not so good, wireless is atheros so you may have to go
"elsewhere" to get support for that.

As far as booting directly, boot-camp helps you to setup a partition to
use, and as the box is booting you can hold <alt> to choose between the
OS X partition, the "other" partition, or CDs.  On the "other" partition
grub is installed and can boot your Linux.  There is also refit which
could do it a bit easier.
