Well some of the most expensive (time consuming, hard to satisfy)
problems have been dealing with fonts and things like terminfo.
Corporate customers expect fonts to be 'exactly' what they saw on
whatever they used last.  Trying to make sure that some java or motif
application didn't lose letters on some window because it expected the
world to be 75x75 X11R4 fonts caused a lot of heartburn for support at
times. Dealing with this every year or so makes you a bit gun shy
corporate wise
