weird firefox problem

After clicking a link Firefox sometimes opens a new window that only
holds the page where the link points to. The firefox main window stays
empty and never gets updated anymore. When clicking "back" the main
window has the previous page again, and the new window stays empty. When
closing that new window firefox exits as if the main window was closed.

One place where this happens a lot is heise.de, for example i just had
it when clicking the first forum link on this page;

Has anybody else ever seen this problem, or would it just be a messed up
firefox on my system ?

BTW this is a 64bit AMD system.
