I thought you mentioning this in the obove gnome bugzilla would be
enough. I just installed Fedore dev with mostly defaults but start 
the system in runlevel 3. I start X manually using startkde i my .Xclients
file. I did not run gnome on this system yet, so never (manually) selected
assistive technology as Bill Haneman suggested.
I actually just saw the bugzilla was not the fedora bugzilla system.
I'll file bug in fedora later on if that helps.
