There is also fluxbox and openbox. Currently they lack some features 
available in xfce (automounting of removable devices, pager, working battery
dockapp...) but that's not inherent to these apps, and has more to do with
the fact that they have less users and packagers in fedora. Lately there
was more interest, but it seems to have fallen down.
