Compiz not installed by default?

+1 here too.
The option should be there as it will work for some people who have
Intel or other video cards and some people will be happy with its lack
of keyboard shortcuts or whatever. It also safe to have there in a
default install as it will check to see if it can enable desktop effects
and fall-back to standard Metacity if it cant.

On the wish list though, it would be nice if one day it automatically
checked on session start and automatically enabled them.
....Or maybe it dialogues the user to say that "Desktop effects are
available - Enable them now?"
