...but (in FC5) isn't installed when I tell Anaconda I want to share
files with Windows (Benjy reports that's the case for FC6, too).
Personally I haven't even seen it working, because it crashes silently
in the background (probably because I used samba-swat and it rewritten
the config file) with no clue to the user about why the window isn't
showing up
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=155616).

Oh, there's also
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=188390 but luckily
I disable firewall upon installation.

I hope GNOME 2.16 in FC6 fixes something in this regard, but I haven't
seen working samba browsing in Nautilus, ever. Perhaps it does work with
WINS server from DHCP (which would explain why people with home networks
can't use it) or some gconftool tweaking, who knows. Still, telling user
to choose "Windows share" and enter the address, or better, enter IP
address with some against-logic smb:// prefix, doesn't qualify for
"works very good". And that's why Benjy wants some "how to" document
about smbclient, nmblookup and smb.conf, which DO work if you know how
to use them.
