  Of course the IP is exposed to the server; that doesn't mean the CGI 
script needs to make use of that information (which, in this case, it 
doesn't).  The POST-vs-GET is only a matter of whether the submitted data 
(i.e., UUID) ends up in the log, the same place the IP does.
