Wasn't aware of that -- just checked, and there's some mention of
'Macbook backlight' in their recent change logs. If by that they mean
keyboard backlight on macbooks, I hope it also works on the older ppc
hardware.

May be worth waiting for it to just show up in HAL, then... :)
