Something of a known problem.  The AJAX library we're using (jsolait)
doesn't handle the "asynchronous" part well, and is making blocking
calls to the XML-RPC server.  I haven't had time to look in to what
could be done to improve the situation, if someone has a chance I'd
gladly accept patches.
