Why does nautilus create folders in my home directory by default?

Only for values of great <= crap.
One of the first things I did after installing f7t4 was spend some time
finding out how to turn off this 'great' new feature. Just deleting
the directories isn't enough, they come back later. There is a setting
in /etc/xdg/user-dirs.conf or ~/.config/user-dirs.conf to disable them.
I have to agree with a previous poster: the system has no business
cluttering up my home directory with these intrusive and unnecesary
subdirectories.
