Re: X-Chat in Fedora

More recalcitrant here than busy. I've been waiting for the merge to happen to find it a new home since nobody has been willing to take it from me. I lost interest when the patches to support multiline as per CTCP have taken ages to get committed upstream and I think it was rejected finally and I got bored of constantly merging it back in. Maybe someone can resurrect and champion it in.

up to date in Fedora. See for example:
(which is too late to get into the F7 release now, unfortunately (sigh, I opened this 4 months ago when 2.8.0 was current!), but it could go into updates). He hasn't even replied to this bug report. Now that Core and Extras have merged, would it be possible to get a community comaintainer (or even maintainer) for this package? Seeing how RĂ©mi Collet has been keeping X-Chat up to date in his repository and how his updated versions have always worked fine for me, I think he would be a good comaintainer or maintainer for X-Chat (if he accepts, of course).

I'll accept a co-maintainer for now in good faith if someone wants it. The above patch would be great to get back into xchat and would give me some reason to start caring again.

Any one want to step to the plate?
