alpha/beta software in Fedora 8?

RHEL has a long beta cycle of its own after getting forked from Fedora 
and usually ends up finding and fixing a set of issues which Fedora 
users are not very likely to report or care about including IBM 
mainframes, SAN storage and things like that.
