When will be CVS replaced by modern version control system?

OK, then I don't get it -- what's wrong with git-{cvs,svn,bzr,hg} 
except that some of these tools are missing? And ocassionaly some 
tag (or branch) would be done in the Fedora git repository from 
which everybody would clone?
