/tftpboot vs. /var/tftp vs. something else?

Personally, I've never liked that either. I put my database
in /home/postgres/. But if Fedora decides to standardize on /srv/, I'll
revert to default. I can't wait for the time when all server data will
reside in one root subdirectory.
