any plans to make wireless more user-friendly in Fedora 9?

I'm using Fedora 8 test 3 with latest updates and I don't see Network
Manager running after default setup - maybe that is the only issue?

It could be argued that if it is not on by default it is the same as
it doesn't exist - at least for new users.

What is the usage scenario in F7 and F8? What are the expected steps
that users are expected to take in order for them to connect to
wireless network after default install?
