I'm wondering just how many packages still in Fedora need MySQL 5.0.x
to continue to support some things (and not others?) for MySQL 3.x
clients.  Are there any that have to use the old_passwords format, for
example.

If not, could we please have MySQL 5.x packages ship an /etc/my.cnf
file with "old_passwords=0"?  Currently (and for quite some time, now)
it's had:

# Default to using old password format for compatibility with mysql 3.x
# clients (those using the mysqlclient10 compatibility package).
