What is this update for?  What should the user expect from it, or what
should they test in it?  Please fill in some details so that users will
be informed.

Also, seriously, why is this being submitted to go directly to stable,
on F8, a platform that is in it's last weeks of life?

The same question goes for the rcssserver update.
