Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method

Try reading the bug report :)

There even is a proposed fix in there for mkinitrd. I've tried to push fixes 
into mkinitrd and / or nash in the past and found it a painful experience, so 
my fix could use some backup from people close(r) to pjones.
