Sure.  And we've had that debate before.  I still believe that if you
want an exploded source tree, use the upstream version and develop
against _that_.  Any patches in the Fedora package SCM should only be
there until it gets resolved upstream.  Some exceptions will likely
apply, but those should be rare and shouldn't require an exploded
version of the source to handle.
