Looks like a Rhythmbox/GNOME issue.
Have you tried the suggested work-around?
($ gconftool -t bool /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop -s false)

Either way, if it doesn't work, I'd suggest you file a bug report
against Rhythmbox. (And post the BZ#)
While it is logical to load the gnome-vfs-daemon - I don't see any
good reason to start gnome-screensaver and friends.
