eject and pam support in Fedora

Hello,
I don't know, why eject has to use pam in Fedora. So, could anyone explain why?
It causes, that eject allows ordinary users to unmount volumes attached by
others. Furthermore, eject doesn't use pam in other distros. So, I tried to
remove pam support and bug mentioned above disappeared. But one have to do one
more step and that is correct a path to eject in HAL's spec file. If I do this,
everything works fine (ejecting via console or via nautilus). But I'm not sure,
 whether there is another serious reason, why eject has to use pam in Fedora.

If there is no serious reason, I'll remove pam support and correct the path in
HAL's spec file.
