Boot Hangs - "init: Error on control socket: Permission denied"

Just updated my rawhide system to today's rawhide and it will no longer
boot. RHGB stops after enable /etc/fstab swaps and it just hangs there.
Switching to VT shows "init: Error on control socket: Permission denied"
looping endlessly. Booting the older kernel gives the same problem so
it's not the kernel.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

tjb
