Since the refernece for 7.3 release aren't enough to satisfy you. How
about we look further back.... to 7.1.

Aug.... what is that 3 months after the ABI was 'released'?  Even if
we waited a month after the ABI was 'released' we could still be
waiting on them.

By official word nor by action has NVidia indicated that it makes an
effort to release against new Xorg releases in a timely fashion.  What
you can count on, by looking at the history of how this works is that,
Nvidia lags until a distribution has a gold release which targets a
new ABI.
