Alternatively, simply override it without any nested macros:

%define python_sitearch %(%{__python} -c "from distutils.sysconfig import get_python_lib; print get_python_lib(1)")

Nested macro usage like  %{!?foo: %define foo ...}  is error-prone anyway.
It quickly leads to confusing scenarios in spec files where you check for
%!?foo in several places, but that would fail if the redefinition were
global implicitly.
