Sorry for having performed long-term thinking and foresight. I am aware of how 
horrible a crime that is and how we should never plan for any longer than the 
next 30 minutes. So let us spend hours debating on how to perform the various 
one-line changes needed to support the newest version of libtool, because 
that's oh so hard, and let us forget the fact that other build systems even 
exist: who would commit such a heresy as to use them?
