Package review backlog.

I would like to help with reviews.  I'm not sponsored yet, but have 
several of my own review requests that have NEEDSPONSOR [1] [2] [3].  
Is it useful for me to review other packages in the queue?  What about 
Merge Reviews?  Given that I'm not sponsored, should I take ownership 
of the package review requests, or just do initial reviews without 
taking ownership?  Obviously, I don't think I can set the 
fedora-review flag yet.
