nekovm - Neko embedded scripting language and virtual machine
which is required by:

haxe - Web programming language targeting Flash, Javascript, PHP
haXe is quite a cool little web language which you can use as an
alternative to ActionScript to compile Flash widgets. The neat part
is that the same source code can be used to generate Javascript
(drawing on a Firefox 3 <canvas/>).
Here's an example of a haXe-authored Flash widget (requires the Adobe
Flash plugin [1]):
http://www.annexia.org/tmp/phx.swf
(Press keys 1 - 9 and try clicking the mouse to fire blocks)
This is the Javascript equivalent built from the same source (requires
Firefox 3 or another browser that supports the WHATWG canvas widget):
http://www.annexia.org/tmp/phx.html
As usual I can swap these reviews for any others that people might
have.
[1] haXe can also target Flash 8 and we checked that simple examples
work with Gnash, but not this rather complicated demo.
