Maybe CPack can help? You'll probably find some resistance from KDE folks to
that idea though (there has been some when a discussion about CPack was held in
the past), given that it the packages it produces won't be complying to any
guideline. (I definitely _don't_ recommend installing RPMs generated by CPack
or any other specfile autogenerator, at least not to folks who don't _really_
know what they're doing.) But it might solve your usecase, and CPack is also
being looked at as a possible option by the Window$ and Mac folks, so maybe
CPack support is going to be added to KDE after all.
