F10 git remote push failing

F10 git is failing to do a remote push :-

[root@*** hello-world]# git push git://git.***/hello-world

error: unpack failed: unpacker exited with error code

error: failed to push some refs to 'git://git.***/hello-world'

a 'git push /pub/git/hello-world' works fine though.
