Why not ship one app which uses PulseAudio to set PulseAudio volumes and
ALSA to set ALSA volumes? Hide the ALSA settings by default if you think
users will get confused by them, but provide a way to enable them. (Of
course it's too late for F11, but still, that's the right way to do it.)
