Hi,

I am seeing this since a while, Xorg really sucks somewhere in memory
management.

16840 root 20 0 577m 250m 11m S 3.7 12.6 22:10.17 Xorg

xrestop:

2200000 17 2 1 26 1013 6350K 25K 6375K ?
4e00000 222 514 1 452 460 4102K 29K 4132K 18030
2000000 198 61 1 31 88 1510K 9K 1519K 17188
1c00000 38 57 1 12 43 1334K 4K 1338K 17184
0000000 2 0 2 0 79 1333K 3K 1337K ?
3a00000 0 0 0 1 0 1333K 0B 1333K ?
1a00000 32 39 0 18 81 104K 3K 108K 17295
5200000 154 85 1 54 112 60K 9K 69K 18033

So where did my memory go? And who of you guys has it? I want it back ;)

(and how do I make a valid bug report out of this? Is there a way to
attach a tool like valgrind (not at that debug-level), to see where xorg
looses it's memory?)

regards

Christoph
