After plugging in a firewire MiniDV camera a new device (/dev/fw1) is correctly created. But they (/dev/fw*) have 0660 as the permission and root:root as owner, so it is impossible to control the camera or grab the videos as a regular user (eg. from Kino). What should be responsible for allowing the user access for firewire devices? Dan
