F11: xorg decision to disable Ctrl-Alt-Backspace

Yes, there should be a confirmation key, like an additional key press
after the ctrl-alt-bksp.  I have used software that has
ctrl/alt-ins/del combination (sdlmame from rpmfusion).  I've never
once hit ctrl-alt-backspace by mistake, but I could see it happening.
