== Fedora 12 Schedule ==

FESCo approved the Fedora 12 schedule proposal by rel-eng, which
includes dropping the Alpha milestone, and a final release date of
11/3/09

== liblvm ==

FESCo approved this feature, on the basis that it is a new capability
developed by Fedora and first present in Fedora.

== Deactivated maintainers ==

FESCo approved orphaning packages owned by deactivated maintainers

== Maven upgrade ==

Rel-eng brought a proposal during the open floor to allow the
inclusion of packages in a special tag (something like dist-f12-maven)
in preparation for the maven upgrade that had yet to be through a
formal package review. These packages are not yet in a state suitable
for inclusion in Fedora, and the Java team would prefer to get them
functional prior to cleaning up the packaging. FESCo approved this
propsal, with the caveat that the packages have to go through a
mini-review prior to inclusiion in this tag and therefore being used
in buildroots. This mini-review will be defined by FPC, and will
include things such as checking for lack of binaries, and legal
concerns.

== Allow all packagers to commit to specific packages ==

This was briefly discussed, will be brought up for a vote next week.
FESCo is generally fine with the idea, however, some security measures
will need to be put in place prior to actual implementation

== PPC strawman ==

FESCo conducted a brief discussion of moving PowerPC to a secondary
architecture for Fedora 12. The general consensus is that since
Fedora 12 development cycle has already begun, it is not appropriate
for Fedora 12. However, for Fedora 13, FESCo is in favor of the idea.
 NB: THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL VOTE OR POSISTION, THAT WILL COME NEXT
WEEK.
