I'm using these packages now and it's much better (speed is much better, 
rendering is (still) not at 100 % ) :
kernel, libdrm, mesa from koji
xorg-x11-drv-ati with sources updated to radeon's git snapshot


feel free to ask if you need some testing, logs, ...
