<title>Creating a Fedora Re-Spin with Revisor</title>

    A Re-Spin is a set of installation media based on the original release by the Fedora Project, but with all updates included. Instead of customizing the installation media, a Re-Spin should be very similar to the originals and just have newer packages. This article is a HOWTO for anyone wanting to compose their own Re-Spin using <package>Revisor</package>.

  <title>Install Revisor</title>

    If <package>Revisor</package> is not installed, it can be installed with the following command:

  <title>Running in GUI Mode</title>

    If running <package>Revisor</package> in the Graphical User Interface mode, open up a terminal and from the command-line, run:
   </para>
   <screen><userinput>revisor --respin</userinput></screen>

    Click through the dialogs presented up until the 'Load Kickstart' dialog. Select `/etc/revisor/conf.d/fedora-7-gold.cfg`. Also, check the `Use package manifest from kickstart data`. For the best results, do not check any other of the options presented here. Press "Forward", and Revisor is configured.
   </para>

   <title>Running in CLI Mode</title>

    Revisor configuration can also be done through the command-line interface by running:

    revisor --cli --respin --model [model] --kickstart /etc/revisor/conf.d/fedora-7-gold.cfg --install-dvd --install-cd

    Replace `[model]` with the model chosen in `/etc/revisor/revisor.conf`. `--install-dvd` and `--install-cd` are optional, but at least one installation media type should be specified.
