Working, Elegant DocBook to PDF Solution

It would be great to have a completely free and flexible tool
to do this. I'm a big fan of the PDF format.

You may have seen this article on Linux Journal:

I find CUPS-PDF (available in Fedora) pretty handy.

Editing DocBook XML, then generating PDF,
would be a very powerful solution.
