Thanks for the input. If you'd like to hack away on the User Guide a bit 
further, you might like to take a look at some of these bugs:

I also remember seeing an issue raised *somewhere* recently about the 
description of the XFCE desktop in the User Guide being outdated -- 
describing a top-and-bottom panel instead of a single panel at the 
bottom, but I can't find that anywhere now... (apologies if it was you 
who raised it!) Anyway, since you're our new-found XFCE specialist, you 
might like to take a look at that issue as well ;)
