Even if such a package would somehow appear, it would have to invoke something
that requires both smart and smart-gtk in its %pre or %post scriptlets and
manage to get itself inserted in a transaction before both of them are installed
for it to matter at install time. Or are you thinking about some other
scenario? Of course I cannot make any guarantees, but I do promise to fix the
problem if it appears ;)
To summarize my remaining wishlist and IMO's, I think I can be persuaded to let
them pass but I'd like to hear feedback from other reviewers:
- -usermode should be folded into the main package
- add >= 4.4 versions to rpm-python and rpm-build dependencies
- Requires(pre/postun) abuses should be pruned (at least the (pre) part)
Comments on bug 175630 comment 2 (why separate package for channels) is also
unaddressed so far, but I don't have strong opinions on that.
Will start actually testing the package today :)
