Doesn't continually moving items to a different directory as they age
incur extra bandwidth cost to mirrors who choose to keep the old
packages? Won't they have to download them twice?
Because of Extras "rolling" model with no definable "release" trees to
fallback to, I am strongly in favor of keeping at least one old
version of the packages in the extras trees and mirrored for the final
Core releases for some reasonable amount of time.
For Extras-development, I frankly don't care if the old packages stay
any length of time at all..officially.
