Please make the obsoletes always versioned otherwise this will harm
compatibility instead of supporting it. And also use provides in general, I
can't say whether any other packages depend on obsoleted items (I can for
ATrpms, but not for all other repos).

I didn't check with Guideline wording, but the suggestion there should be to use
(simplified w/o potential epochs):

Obsolete: old <= %{version}-%{release}
Provide: old = %{version}-%{release}
